Join your SAAGH colleagues and the Buffalo Bayou Partnership for a wonderful evening boat tour. Once on board the boat, you will experience a unique view of both downtown Houston and Waugh Bridge as approximately 250,000 Free-Tailed bats take to the sky. This tour will be led by a knowledgeable guide and you will learn about these magnificent flying mammals as you view them from the water. You will learn how the bat sleeps, how much food they can consume in one hour, and how they contribute to the ecosystem.
For anyone who is interested, we will have an optional informal Happy Hour at La Calle, 909 Franklin, Houston, Texas, 77002, at 5:30. La Calle is about a 3 minute walk from the boat loading location.
