Birding – Fall Bus Tour October 17, 2026

Join us on a guided bird watching expedition to Brazos Bend State Park!   This is a premier birding destination with over 300 documented bird species located just southwest of Houston.  Part of the Great Texas Coastal Birding Trail, the diverse habitats of the park attract both resident and migratory species.  In fact it is a migratory hotspot, and we should get to see peak activity during the autumn migration.

We will get an early start to arrive at the park shortly after opening and meet our guide.  We will have a “Birding 101” orientation session, and then head out on the trail.  Bring comfortable walking shoes, water bottle, and binoculars!  We will plan on having a picnic lunch together after our fun morning adventure, under the Nature Center oak trees, before heading back to town.

This is a bus trip from Houston, and promises to be a memorable day.
