Operation Stocking Stuffer - December 13

This volunteer project was a first-year opportunity for SAAGH, but a definite addition to the annual SAAGH Volunteer "must-do" project list!

SAAGH volunteers (retirees) joined Shell volunteers (current employees), plus volunteers from other Houston area organizations in supporting the efforts of the Houston Fire Department Operation Stocking Stuffer holiday season project to bring joy to thousands of area children. Shell was a generous partner to year's effort providing approximately 1,000 bicycles. Volunteers completed assembly of those bicycles and supported in sorting toys, bicycles, games and books by age and gender to get them ready for the big giveaway.

Thanks to all volunteers participating in Operation Stocking Stuffer and giving back to our community! Everyone had a great time and really enjoyed bringing some Christmas spirit to others.

UNCF Walk for Education - September 14

Another great UNCF Walk for Education! "Congratualtions!" once again to Carolyn Hughes for serving over 20 years as the Shell team captain for our Willing Walkers/SAAGH Walk Team. This was her last Walk! Let's join in and say thanks for all of her service and contribution in providing educational opportunites and assistance for so many of our youth! Well done!

Awesome participation and support from SAAGH Volunteers and guests! Thank you for for running, riding, walking and the many donations!

Mayor's Annual Back to School Fest - August 3

Many thanks to the volunteers that participated in this year's Back to School Fest. Shell is a major sponsor of this event and contributed cool backpacks this year.

Random Acts of Kindness - March 10

A great day at the Houston Rodeo! Shell and SAAGH volunteers taking part in Random Acts of Kindness attended an orientation session before greeting and assisting rodeo attendees. Volunteers handed out bandannas, took pictures, held doors for attendees. It was a great event! Well organized and loads of fun!

Congrats to Vicky Moreno, Shell's Volunteer Coordinator. Awesome job! And, many thanks to all of the volunteers, Shell and SAAGH! See you next year!

Martin Luther King, Jr. National Day of Service - January 21

The MLK Day of Service is an opportunity to honor Dr. King’s legacy through volunteering. The day empowers individuals, strengthens communities, bridges barriers, creates solutions, and moves us closer to Dr. King’s vision of a stronger community.

A great day this year at Shell's MLK Day of Service at the Houston Food Bank! Thanks to the all of the organizers and, particularly, all of the volunteers! Outstanding Job!

In addition to sorting and boxing food items, there was a great luncheon and program commemorating Dr. King's leadership and legacy to the country and the world.
