Please join us on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at the Junior League of Houston for a delicious lunch and a presentation by our guest speaker, Rick Tallant, Executive Vice President, Global Supply Chain, for Shell.  His talk will include general updates on Shell, recent developments, and an outlook for the future.  Shell has put together a 250th Celebration video that includes how Shell has been a part of so many of USA advances that will be shown at the luncheon.  Here is a sneak peek for that video:  Energy for Progress in America

At the beginning of the presentation, SAAGH President. Luis Cosme, will briefly discuss our organization’s activities, solicit input, and answer questions.

Rick has a Bachelor’s Degree in both Petroleum Engineering and Economics from the University of Tulsa in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  He joined Shell in 2003, in the United States as a Reservoir Engineer, holding a variety of technical roles across the full lifecycle of Deepwater assets from exploration to producing asstes.  In 2007, Rick moved to the Netherlands to work in the Portfolio and Reporting team under the RDS Chief Petroleum Engineer.  In 2011, he became the Deepwater Planning Focal Point, providing strategy and planning advice to the EVP Deepwater.  Following this role, he became the Operations Manager of the Ram Powell Tension Leg Platform and was appointed as the GM East Assets GoM in 2015, where he led the Mars Corridor and Ram Powell Performance Units.  Rick became Vice President GoM, Deepwater in February 2018 and in August 2021, became Executive Vice President of GTL for Shell and Managing Director of Shell Qatar Companies.  In June 2024, he became the Executive Vice President of Supply Chain, Contracting, and Procurement.
